About the role
Responsibilities
- Drive safe production through effective decision making and hazard identification
- Perform quality pre-operation machine inspections and document requirements
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping for machines and work areas
- Assist with MSHA regulatory task training and compliance verification
- Operate heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, water trucks, and haulage trucks
- Participate in risk assessment processes and proactive near-miss reporting
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in mining or heavy industry preferred
- Ability to adhere to OSHA and MSHA regulatory requirements
- Valid and insurable driving license
- Ability to pass mobile equipment skills qualifications
- Physical ability to lift up to 85 pounds and perform repetitive climbing, kneeling, and squatting
- Flexibility to work various shifts (days and nights) and travel on short notice
