Heavy Equipment Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including forklifts, dozers, excavators, skiddies, and telehandlers on pipeline sites
• Manage shipping, receiving, and unloading of project materials
• Perform Red Line reviews and work with engineering teams to ensure project accuracy
• Oversee construction equipment certification logs and maintain compliance
• Manage inventory for coating materials and assist with ordering welding consumables
• Catalog and complete project record binders
• Assist crew leaders with documentation, operator qualifications, and safety compliance
• Perform ditch excavation and bell hole excavation, including work around underground utilities

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5 or more years of experience operating heavy equipment
• Valid CDL license or the ability to obtain one within 3 months of hire
• Ability to travel up to 75% and work extended hours (including 10-hour days)
• Ability to perform physically demanding mechanical duties and operate power tools
• Willingness to be subject to 24/7 call-outs for emergency response purposes

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of a 2-3 year vocational or technical training program
• Previous experience in the pipeline construction industry
• Proficiency with computer applications such as Windows, Teams, Word, Outlook, and Excel
