Heavy Equipment Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including backhoes, loaders, excavators, and dump trucks
• Conduct pre-operation checks to ensure equipment is safe and functional
• Excavate, grade, and level earth in preparation for construction
• Communicate effectively with ground crew using hand signals and radios
• Perform minor equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
• Follow all safety guidelines and company policies to minimize hazards
• Support project completion by assisting with tasks assigned by the site supervisor

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience operating heavy equipment in construction or related fields
• Proven knowledge of safety procedures and equipment operations
• Ability to read and interpret plans, blueprints, and project specifications
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks

Preferred Qualifications

• 5-10 years of heavy equipment experience
• Certification in heavy equipment operation
