Heavy Equipment Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate one or more types of heavy equipment to safely and efficiently load and transfer materials
• Direct incoming trucks and vehicles to appropriate unloading areas
• Oversee truck schedules for dumping and trailer switching
• Perform pre-trip inspections and report mechanical problems to the shop foreman immediately
• Maintain facility cleanliness according to established schedules
• Ensure all customers and staff follow safety rules and regulations at the transfer station
• Open and close the facility according to scheduled hours of operation

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the US
• Ability to work in varied weather conditions
• Strong commitment to safety and a team-oriented mindset
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in heavy equipment operation
