About the role
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment, particularly cranes, and participate in general yard activities
- Sort and identify metals using tests and magnets
- Receive, unload, and move metals to appropriate areas
- Inspect the quality of received and handled materials
- Operate various equipment including loaders, Bobcats, and forklifts
- Load ferrous materials destined for customers
- Perform manual tasks related to sorting and organizing materials
Requirements
- 2 to 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment (crane, loader, or equivalent)
- Ability to work in a physical, outdoor environment in all weather conditions
- Strong teamwork skills and adaptability
- Commitment to health and safety at work
- Proactive and versatile attitude
Preferred Qualifications
- DEP in heavy equipment operation or relevant training
- Experience in scrap yards or the recycling industry
- Knowledge of metals
