Heavy Equipment Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery including cranes, bulldozers, loaders, motor graders, and scrapers to excavate, load, or move materials.
• Perform tasks such as ripping rock, cutting slopes, digging sumps, and feeding crushers or batch plants.
• Maintain machinery by checking fluid levels and performing minor emergency repairs or greasing.
• Read and interpret grade and slope stakes and simple site plans.
• Adhere to all safety, quality, and environmental procedures to maintain a safe work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of two years of experience as an equipment operator or completion of a recognized apprenticeship program.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Must be physically qualified per FMCSA standards and able to pass a CDL driver skill test.
• US Citizenship is required to obtain necessary facility credentials.
• Ability to work any shift, including weekends and other hours as needed.
