Heavy Equipment Operator 2

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled labor for roadway maintenance, repair, and new construction projects.
• Operate various vehicles including pickups, light trucks, dump trucks, and truck tractor-trailer combinations.
• Utilize various attachments such as bottom dumps, liquid tanks, snowplows, spreader boxes, and lifting booms.
• Perform skilled labor using hand tools, mechanical, motorized, or pneumatic equipment.
• Support journey-level operators by conducting truck operations and assisting with specialized tasks.
• Operate equipment such as concrete saws, augers, and chip spreaders as required.

Requirements

• 1 year of experience in construction, agricultural, or public works operations.
• Enrollment in a Heavy Equipment Operator Apprenticeship Program or previous truck driver employment.
• Valid Driver's License with proof of automobile insurance.
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) with Manual Endorsement.
• Acceptable background record and driving abstract.
