Heavy Equipment Operator 2

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled labor for roadway maintenance, repair, and new construction projects
• Operate various vehicles including pickups, light trucks, dump trucks, and truck tractor-trailer combinations
• Utilize various attachments such as snowplows, spreader boxes, liquid tanks, and asphalt storage tanks
• Perform skilled labor using hand tools, mechanical, motorized, or pneumatic equipment
• Support journey-level operators through apprentice-level tasks and training
• Assist with specialized tasks including crack filling, concrete sawing, and chip spreading

Requirements

• 1 year of experience in construction, agricultural, or public works operations
• Valid Driver's License with proof of automobile insurance
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Manual Endorsement
• Acceptable background check and driving record
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs of unequal weight and perform physical tasks in various weather conditions
