About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled labor for roadway maintenance, repair, and new construction projects
- Operate various vehicles including pickups, light trucks, dump trucks, and truck tractor-trailer combinations
- Utilize various attachments such as snowplows, spreader boxes, liquid tanks, and asphalt storage tanks
- Perform skilled labor using hand tools, mechanical, motorized, or pneumatic equipment
- Support journey-level operators through apprentice-level tasks and training
- Assist with specialized tasks including crack filling, concrete sawing, and chip spreading
Requirements
- 1 year of experience in construction, agricultural, or public works operations
- Valid Driver's License with proof of automobile insurance
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Manual Endorsement
- Acceptable background check and driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs of unequal weight and perform physical tasks in various weather conditions
