Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy mining equipment including excavators, dozers, haul trucks, water trucks, and motor graders
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues efficiently
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and servicing
• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic codes
• Ensure all repairs meet safety and operational standards
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation
• Adhere to all company safety policies and MSHA regulations

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic in mining or construction
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work in outdoor mining environments and physically demanding conditions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on large haul trucks and earthmoving equipment
