Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Adhere to MSHA safety guidelines and company policies to ensure a safe and compliant work environment
• Perform daily inspections of plant crushing equipment, screening machinery, and conveyors
• Monitor mobile equipment and systems to maintain uninterrupted material flow and clear blockages
• Support mobile maintenance management through accurate records, maintenance logs, and parts inventory
• Respond swiftly to mechanical breakdowns to minimize downtime
• Plan and execute routine preventive maintenance tasks, including greasing, lubrication, and minor repairs

Requirements

• 1+ year of rock quarry experience
• Proven experience as a Quarry Mobile Mechanic or similar role
• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems used in quarry operations
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor
• Ability to pass a "Fitness for Duty" examination including physical, drug/alcohol, and respiratory testing

Preferred Qualifications

• MSHA certification
