About the role
Responsibilities
- Inspect equipment engines and mechanical/electrical components using diagnostic tools
- Conduct routine maintenance including fluid replacement, lubrication, and component adjustment
- Repair or replace hydraulic systems, cylinders, hoses, and 12V/24V electrical systems
- Perform welding and metal fabrication to repair or reinforce machinery
- Inspect and test heavy-duty equipment such as excavators, grapples, shears, and forklifts
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans to reduce equipment failures
- Maintain detailed maintenance records using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate reordering of parts and tools
- Adhere to all safety protocols and participate in regular safety training
Requirements
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hydraulic systems and 12V/24V electrical systems
- Experience with welding and metal fabrication
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform prolonged walking, standing, climbing, and crouching
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions with exposure to extreme temperatures
Preferred Qualifications
- 8-10 years of experience in heavy machinery maintenance and repair
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
