About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide technical services for heavy equipment repair, assembly, fabrication, and maintenance of military and commercial vehicle prototypes.
- Drive and test-drive heavy equipment, ground military vehicles, and advanced autonomous transport prototypes.
- Evaluate and report vehicle performance, noting any technical issues, successes, or areas for improvement.
- Perform system integration tasks involving hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics, and mechanical components.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues and perform preventive or special maintenance.
- Document all repairs, installations, and any resulting changes to vehicle performance.
- Repair components by replacing worn or damaged parts with new or reconditioned units.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 45 lbs.
- Basic to intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to pass a government background check.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
- Ability to follow all safety, regulatory, and environmental standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Military experience.
- Experience with TIG/MIG welding and fabrication.
- Possession of, or willingness to obtain, a Commercial Driver License (CDL-B).
