About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, general, and periodic maintenance on heavy equipment and forklifts
- Diagnose anomalies and determine root causes
- Execute minor and major repairs on engines, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems
- Repair braking, steering, electrical, electronic, and transmission systems
- Complete work orders and inspection sheets
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace in compliance with SST policies
Requirements
- DEP in heavy equipment mechanics or equivalent training
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Possession of a complete toolbox (imperial and metric systems)
- Proficiency in electricity, hydraulics, diesel engines, transmissions, and welding
