About the role
Responsibilities
- Inspecting and diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using diagnostic tools
- Performing routine and preventative maintenance on heavy equipment
- Repairing or replacing worn or damaged components, including hydraulic systems and electrical systems (12V/24V)
- Performing welding and metal fabrication repairs as needed
- Coordinating maintenance schedules with department managers to reduce downtime
- Maintaining accurate maintenance and repair records using the CMMS
- Ensuring all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and procedures
Requirements
- 8–10 years of experience maintaining and repairing heavy equipment
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, cylinders, and electrical systems
- Experience with welding and metal fabrication
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Safety-focused mindset for fast-paced industrial settings
