Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Inspecting and diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using diagnostic tools
• Performing routine and preventative maintenance on heavy equipment
• Repairing or replacing worn or damaged components, including hydraulic systems and electrical systems (12V/24V)
• Performing welding and metal fabrication repairs as needed
• Coordinating maintenance schedules with department managers to reduce downtime
• Maintaining accurate maintenance and repair records using the CMMS
• Ensuring all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and procedures

Requirements

• 8–10 years of experience maintaining and repairing heavy equipment
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, cylinders, and electrical systems
• Experience with welding and metal fabrication
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Safety-focused mindset for fast-paced industrial settings
