Heavy Equipment Field Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance and repair for heavy equipment machinery and aerial lifts
• Diagnose issues using technology, including laptops and tablets
• Maintain complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems
• Create, assign, and monitor work orders and track service intervals
• Maintain electronic documentation of work performed
• Travel to customer job sites for repair and maintenance when required
• Assist in training lower level technicians
• Practice safe job practices for repairing equipment

Requirements

• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
• Extensive knowledge of construction equipment and schematics
• Must own tools applicable to the position
• High School diploma; Trade school certificate preferred
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move, stand, stoop, and bend freely
• Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicles

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements
