Heavy Equipment Field Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on heavy equipment and aerial lifts
• Use technology including laptops and tablets to create, assign, and monitor work orders
• Diagnose issues and determine root cause and corrective action using real-time data
• Practice safe job practices for repairing equipment
• Maintain electronic documentation of work performed in a timely manner
• Travel to customer job sites for repair and maintenance when required
• Assist in the training of lower level technicians
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts

Requirements

• Must own tools applicable to the position
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
• Extensive knowledge of construction equipment and schematics
• High School diploma; Trade school certificate preferred
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move, stand, stoop, and bend freely
• Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicles

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements
