Heavy Equipment District Field Technician (Mechanic)

Responsibilities

• Perform complex machine diagnosis and major component removal and replacement
• Maintain and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems
• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on a variety of equipment
• Assist with the pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts while complying with DOT regulations
• Attend all Safety Meetings and practice safe job practices
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation of work performed
• Travel up to 90% of the work week throughout the assigned district and region
• Support, evaluate, coach, and provide feedback to other technicians

Requirements

• Must own tools applicable to the position
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
• Extensive knowledge of construction equipment and schematics
• Superior customer service and communication skills
• Ability to travel overnight for short and long periods
• High School diploma; Trade school certificate preferred
• Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair preferred
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicles
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move, stand, stoop, and bend freely
