Heavy Equipment Assessor (Trainer)

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough practical and theoretical assessments of heavy equipment operators' competencies
• Ensure all assessments adhere to company policies and regulatory safety standards
• Maintain accurate records of assessment results and provide detailed reporting
• Provide constructive feedback to operators to improve skills and safety practices
• Collaborate with the training team to develop and update assessment materials
• Assist in quality assurance and compliance audits related to operator competency

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment
• Minimum of 5 years of industrial experience in a specific role
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an instructor or teacher
• Technical diploma or qualification in a relevant craft or subject
• Certification in specific areas such as Cranes, Rigging, or heavy equipment (Backhoe, Bulldozer, Forklift, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation including Grader, Wheel loader, Skid loader, and Telehandler
• Familiarity with industry safety standards and certification processes
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of training and assessment development
• Previous experience in formal assessment or evaluation roles
