Heavy Equipment Assessor (Trainer)

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of heavy equipment operators’ competencies, including practical and theoretical evaluations
• Ensure assessments adhere to company policies and regulatory standards
• Maintain accurate records of assessment results and provide detailed reports
• Provide constructive feedback to operators to help improve their skills and safety practices
• Collaborate with the training team to assist in the development and updating of assessment materials
• Assist in quality assurance and compliance audits related to operator competency

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience operating heavy equipment
• Minimum of 5 years Industrial experience in a specific role
• 3 years of experience as an instructor or teacher
• Technical qualification or diploma in a relevant craft or subject
• Certification in heavy equipment (Backhoe, Bulldozer, Forklift, Wheel loader, Cranes, or Rigging)
• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation including Grader, Skid loader, Sideboom, and Telehandler
• Familiarity with industry safety standards and certification processes
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
