Heavy Equipment Assessor

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough practical and theoretical assessments of heavy equipment operators' competencies
• Ensure all assessments adhere to company policies and regulatory safety standards
• Maintain accurate records of assessment results and provide detailed reporting
• Provide constructive feedback to operators to improve skills and safety practices
• Collaborate with the training team to develop and update assessment materials
• Assist in quality assurance and compliance audits related to operator competency

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment
• Minimum of 5 years of industrial experience in a specific role
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an instructor or teacher
• Technical diploma or qualification in a relevant craft or subject
• Certification in heavy equipment (e.g., Backhoe, Bulldozer, Forklift, Wheel loader, Cranes) or Rigging
• Strong knowledge of industry safety standards and certification processes
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of training and assessment development
• Previous experience in formal assessment or evaluation roles
• Relevant certifications in heavy equipment operation and assessment
