About the role
Responsibilities
- Inspect, repair, and maintain battery electric vehicles (BEV) and heavy diesel mining equipment
- Determine the nature and extent of repairs, including required methods, materials, and tools
- Plan and assign work tasks in collaboration with the supervisor
- Minimize production downtime caused by mechanical issues
- Ensure all health and safety policies and procedures are strictly followed by all employees
- Manage current and future parts supply needs in coordination with management and procurement teams
- Participate in and lead health and safety meetings as required
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of heavy-duty mechanical experience
- Membership in the Ontario College of Trades
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of SAP software
- Common Core certification
