About the role

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, repair, and maintain battery electric vehicles (BEV) and heavy diesel mining equipment
  • Determine the nature and extent of repairs, including required methods, materials, and tools
  • Plan and assign work tasks in collaboration with the supervisor
  • Minimize production downtime caused by mechanical issues
  • Ensure all health and safety policies and procedures are strictly followed by all employees
  • Manage current and future parts supply needs in coordination with management and procurement teams
  • Participate in and lead health and safety meetings as required

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of heavy-duty mechanical experience
  • Membership in the Ontario College of Trades

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of SAP software
  • Common Core certification
