Heavy Duty Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on cranes, trailers, and support equipment
• Complete oil changes, brake work, tire service, suspension repairs, and annual PMs
• Support annual crane certification requirements
• Record hours, mileage, and maintenance activities using logbooks and a tablet
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, fuel, hydraulic, and air brake systems
• Conduct shop safety audits and promote a safety-first culture

Requirements

• 3rd year Apprentice or Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician certification
• Experience working on heavy equipment or cranes
• Strong mechanical aptitude in electrical, hydraulic, suspension, and air brake systems
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work locally in Grande Prairie, AB

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in heavy equipment, crane, or industrial environments
• Experience with maintenance tracking or digital repair records
• Class 1 license
