About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform full stripdowns and rebuilds of port equipment
- Diagnose and repair a variety of heavy loaders, excavators, forklifts, and trucks
- Replace and repair machinery components
- Conduct routine servicing of machinery
- Perform repairs to attachments, grapples, and log heads
Requirements
- NZQA Level 4 Automotive Heavy Engineering qualification (or NZQA-recognised equivalent)
- Proven experience working on heavy vehicles and machinery
- Solid understanding of hydraulic systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, drug test, ACC, and MOJ criminal history check
