Heavy Diesel Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain heavy forestry machinery including skidders, feller-bunchers, and Peterson chippers
• Diagnose and repair mechanical breakdowns quickly to minimize downtime
• Complete repairs following manufacturer guidelines and safety standards
• Report faults and maintain accurate maintenance records
• Work closely with the field team to support efficient daily operations

Requirements

• Qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic
• Minimum of two years of experience across heavy, medium, or light vehicles
• Minimum of two years of post-apprenticeship experience
• Experience with mobile plant equipment (heavy vehicle mobile mining equipment preferred)
• Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
• MR/HR truck license is recommended
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment and police check
