Heavy Civil Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of assigned projects including budgets, schedules, submittals, RFIs, contracts, and purchase orders
• Prepare, review, and return submittals for manufactured or provided items
• Work with Superintendents and Operation Managers to determine equipment and crew needs
• Assemble and regularly update job cost codes for projects
• Coordinate subcontractors and material deliveries for major items
• Review and approve subcontractor and supplier estimates and invoices
• Negotiate, close, and coordinate Extra Work Orders and CORs for scope changes
• Monitor production, resource utilization, and job costs versus estimates to maintain profit margins
• Prepare monthly job cost and profit projections

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• At least 5 years of experience managing large commercial construction projects
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to develop positive relationships with owners, project engineers, and local government offices
• Demonstrated ability to manage people, budget, schedule, and quality across multiple sites
• Competency in performing accurate project take-offs and estimates
• Willingness to travel up to 25%

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field
