About the role
Responsibilities
- Read, understand, and interpret drawings and specifications
- Solicit quotes from subcontractors and suppliers
- Prepare rough project schedules to determine time frames
- Review estimated productions with superintendents to finalize bids
- Enter detailed data into HCSS HeavyBid software
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in heavy civil work
- Ability to perform complete and accurate project take-offs and estimates
- Strong organizational and verbal communication skills
- Ability to develop positive relationships with owners, engineers, and government offices
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software
- Experience with HCSS HeavyBid & HeavyJob
- Experience with Primavera P6 Scheduling Software
- Experience with Accounting Software
