Heat Treat Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate heat treat equipment during the 3rd shift (Sunday night–Thursday night, 9pm–5am)
• Follow documented work instructions and specific recipes to maintain furnace parameters
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks as specified in equipment logbooks
• Conduct quality checks on products, including hardness and surface specifications
• Identify and tag scrap material and notify supervisors of necessary repairs or reworks
• Maintain a clean and organized work area utilizing 5S practices and following OSHA/EPA regulations
• Promote continuous improvement by sharing ideas with management and team members

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience, specifically setting up heat treat equipment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Strong mechanical background with experience in complex troubleshooting
• Ability to operate a lift truck, including steering and using hand-operated levers
• Physical stamina to stand for an 8-hour shift and perform moderate to heavy lifting (up to 51 lbs)
• Flexibility to work overtime, including weekends, if required
