Heat Treat. & Finishing Shift Leader

Responsibilities

• Supervise shift operations of Quench and Temper (Q&T) heat treatment processes to ensure required mechanical properties.
• Monitor and control critical heat treatment parameters and process conditions for compliance with specifications.
• Oversee semi-automatic inspection processes and ensure manual evaluation is performed when results exceed established limits.
• Control compliance with operating procedures, work instructions, and quality requirements.
• Monitor production indicators related to performance, downtime, and rejections to stabilize operations.
• Enforce Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures and participate in incident investigations.
• Lead, coach, and manage shift personnel in accordance with company policies.

Requirements

• Supervisory experience in manufacturing or production environments, ideally with heat treatment exposure.
• Working knowledge of API 5CT, API Q1, ISO 9001, and ISO 20431.
• Exposure to Lean or Continuous Improvement methodologies (e.g., root cause analysis, 5-Why, standard work).
• Competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Availability to work a rotational schedule (3 shifts, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays).

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in pipe manufacturing.
• Proven ability to lead effectively under high-stress, shift-based operational conditions.
