Responsibilities
- Prepare and package weekly program materials
- Measure and organize ingredient hampers
- Support program setup and coordination
- Assist team members during sessions
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Engage with participants during warm-up activities
- Support participants in connecting with each other to build a sense of community
- Lead icebreaker activities
- Provide support to participants who may require assistance during exercise sessions
Requirements
- Lived experience with Type 2 Diabetes and prior participation in a Diabetes Education Program (DEP)
- Ability to lift and carry groceries
- Ability to stand for 1–2 hours
- Comfortable working in a team environment
- Basic math skills for measuring and portioning
- Food Safety certification or willingness to obtain
- Full vaccination against COVID-19 (subject to accommodation)
