Healthcare Insurance Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Coordinate directly with insurance agencies to obtain and renew funding authorizations
• Monitor funding expiry dates closely and initiate renewals proactively to avoid service interruptions
• Document all communications and clinical notes accurately within the electronic medical records system
• Respond promptly to client inquiries via phone and email to ensure clear communication
• Collaborate with internal departments to gather necessary information for funding processes
• Communicate with physician offices to obtain required documentation and maintain workflow momentum

Requirements

• Proven experience in healthcare administration or insurance coordination
• Strong organizational and communication skills to manage complex tasks effectively
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and prioritize workload efficiently

Preferred Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Health Administration or a related field
• Certification in Medical Office Administration or Health Information Management
