About the role

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to complex financial analyses and projects involving the design, financing, and measurement of employer health and group benefit programs.
  • Provide direction on benefit plan analysis, design, cost avoidance, risk, and funding strategies.
  • Review technical and consulting accuracy on client projects, including pricing strategies, plan design alternatives, and reserve calculations.
  • Deliver accurate claim reporting and financial modeling to support client decision-making.
  • Communicate complex financial, actuarial, and analytic results to drive client action.
  • Partner with Global Delivery Centers and Client Service teams to ensure superior project management.
  • Build strong internal relationships and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in professional services (ideally in benefit consulting, brokerage, or health underwriting/actuarial functions).
  • Strong knowledge of health and welfare products and services.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of underwriting and funding concepts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to obtain a State Life and Health license within 90 days of joining.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, creative, and integrative skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to learn big data analytic techniques.
  • Progress towards completion of a health actuarial designation or CEBS designation.
  • Relevant university degree or significant financial experience.
