About the role

Responsibilities

  • Respond to inbound inquiries regarding dental benefits, eligibility, claims, appeals, grievances, and provider searches.
  • Provide clear interpretation of dental benefits, policies, and procedures to members and providers.
  • Resolve member or provider concerns by investigating issues and documenting interactions accurately in the billing system.
  • Investigate verbal complaints regarding billing or services and escalate failures to appropriate departments.
  • Meet or exceed established call volume and quality performance goals.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of Member Services policies and dental plan updates.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or college degree.
  • At least 1 year of face-to-face customer service experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
  • High-speed internet connection (minimum 10 Mbps Download / 3 Mbps Upload) via hardwired ethernet (no satellite or wireless).
  • Ability to work in a distraction-free, secure, and clutter-free home environment.
  • Successful completion of a background check, customer service assessment, and typing test.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a call center environment.
  • Knowledge of or experience in the Dental, Medical, or Managed Care industry.
