About the role
Responsibilities
- Respond to inbound inquiries regarding dental benefits, eligibility, claims, appeals, grievances, and provider searches.
- Provide clear interpretation of dental benefits, policies, and procedures to members and providers.
- Resolve member or provider concerns by investigating issues and documenting interactions accurately in the billing system.
- Investigate verbal complaints regarding billing or services and escalate failures to appropriate departments.
- Meet or exceed established call volume and quality performance goals.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of Member Services policies and dental plan updates.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or college degree.
- At least 1 year of face-to-face customer service experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
- High-speed internet connection (minimum 10 Mbps Download / 3 Mbps Upload) via hardwired ethernet (no satellite or wireless).
- Ability to work in a distraction-free, secure, and clutter-free home environment.
- Successful completion of a background check, customer service assessment, and typing test.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a call center environment.
- Knowledge of or experience in the Dental, Medical, or Managed Care industry.
