Healthcare Aide

Responsibilities

• Assist mothers with personal care, hygiene, and mobility following delivery
• Support basic newborn care including bathing, diapering, and maintaining hygiene
• Assist with breastfeeding support under the guidance of nursing staff
• Support early mobilization of postnatal patients, including post-operative mothers
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, including baby cots and equipment
• Maintain unit stocks and consumables
• Respond promptly to call bells and patient requests
• Follow infection prevention and control protocols and safe clinical waste disposal
• Provide emotional support to mothers and families while ensuring privacy and dignity

Requirements

• Experience in inpatient care
• Experience in gynaecology
• Experience in labour & delivery

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified nursing assistant course completion
