Health Services Assistant

Responsibilities

• Support the daily operations of the health center through student-facing care and nursing assistance
• Transport students to and from medical appointments while serving as a patient advocate
• Document appointments accurately and provide follow-up email summaries to parents
• Manage health records and handle sensitive data with strict confidentiality
• Coordinate with local pharmacies to obtain necessary medications and supplies
• Purchase and maintain medical supplies and medications for the health services team
• Act as a primary point of contact between students, families, and healthcare providers

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license in good standing
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Proficiency in Google Suite, EHR, or similar digital systems
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to pass a thorough background check, including fingerprinting and motor vehicle record checks

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of or current enrollment in a medical or nursing assistant program
• Previous experience working in a healthcare setting
