Health Service Administrator

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day administrative operations of facility health services including medical, dental, mental health, and pharmacy
• Ensure compliance with National Detention Standards (NDS), HIPAA, and applicable federal, state, and local laws
• Coordinate with Clinical Director and nursing leadership to maintain safe and consistent access to healthcare
• Manage health services staffing levels and oversee provider credentialing and licensing verification
• Maintain employee health documentation, including immunization and occupational health records
• Administer continuous quality improvement activities, including chart reviews and corrective action plans
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of health reporting, including incident and grievance logs
• Administer health records processes and ensure compliant use of electronic health record systems
• Coordinate administrative support for off-site specialty and hospital care processes

Requirements

• Three years of leadership background and two years of program/service management experience
• Experience administering health services in a secure detention or comparable healthcare environment
• Knowledge of detention health standards, accreditation, and medical records administration
• Minimum Master's degree in healthcare administration or equivalent progressive clinical/administrative management experience
• Ability to pass a medical examination and a thorough background investigation
• U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residence with five years of U.S. residency
• Ability to perform physical duties in a hazardous, stressful, or austere environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Spanish
