About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of Health and Safety for the St. Louis plant, serving as the primary point of contact for internal and external regulatory audits
- Develop and implement site EHS programs, policies, and procedures in alignment with Henkel mandates
- Conduct safety inspections, investigate incidents or near misses, determine root causes, and implement corrective action plans
- Lead continuous improvement projects for the "Zero Incident Safety Culture" and manage 5S culture site-wide
- Coordinate employee care for injuries and illnesses, including administering First Aid and managing Worker’s Compensation claims
- Maintain OSHA logs and prepare safety reports to satisfy regulatory requirements
- Provide training and resources for CPR, First Aid, and health-oriented wellness programs
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in Safety and Health within a manufacturing environment
- Strong familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety procedures
- Hands-on experience with Respirator Fit Testing
- Experience performing or evaluating audiograms
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with data reporting tools like Power BI or Visio
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills to collaborate with all levels of the organization
