About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of Health and Safety for the St. Louis plant, serving as the primary point of contact for internal and external regulatory audits
- Develop and implement site EHS programs, policies, and procedures in alignment with Henkel mandates
- Conduct safety inspections, manage documentation, and ensure corrective actions are completed for any identified deficiencies
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement effective corrective action plans
- Manage EHS compliance and lead continuous improvement projects within the "Zero Incident Safety Culture" program
- Coordinate employee care for injuries and illnesses, including administering First Aid and managing Worker’s Compensation claims
- Maintain the OSHA Log and prepare necessary safety reports to satisfy regulatory requirements
- Provide training and resources for CPR, First Aid, and other health-oriented wellness programs
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in Safety and Health within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety procedures
- Hands-on experience with Respirator Fit Testing and performing or evaluating audiograms
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills to collaborate with all levels of the organization
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Power BI reporting and Visio
- Current certifications in CPR instruction, Pulmonary Function Testing, or Occupational Hearing Conservation
