Health & Safety Officer

Responsibilities

• Ensure ongoing company compliance with Federal, State, and local Health & Safety laws and regulations
• Work with Warehouse Managers & Field Operational Leads to promote a positive health & safety culture
• Organize safety campaigns and communicate safety messages to encourage employee engagement
• Identify training needs in partnership with the Learning & Development department
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of warehouse facilities
• Implement hazard identification and investigate incidents and near misses
• Collaborate with HSEQ Manager & HR Lead to prevent recurrence and ensure Workers Compensation compliance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• Professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional or Occupational Health & Safety Technician
• Strong knowledge of local, Federal and State OSHA regulations and standards
• Expertise in hazard identification, risk assessment, incident investigation and RCCA methodologies
• Proficient in safety documentation, reporting, and OSHA record-keeping software
• Valid driver’s license with willingness to travel up to 30%
