About the role
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance and assurance with relevant UK HSE legislation, focusing on CDM Regulations 2015
- Ensure Control of Contractor requirements and standards are fulfilled
- Carry out site audits and inspections of construction related activities
- Capture relevant LFE and ensure investigations are closed out
- Provide expert guidance and support to project teams on safe working practices
- Develop robust HSE management systems tailored to major construction projects
- Monitor the HSE performance of contractor activities in line with CDM 2015
- Champion a proactive, safety-first culture across all levels of the site team
Requirements
- Proven experience in HSE roles in fissile environments, construction, utilities, or major infrastructure
- In-depth knowledge of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015
- In-depth knowledge of the Nuclear Licence Condition Handbook
- Track record of conducting audits and producing reports
- NEBOSH General Certificate or NEBOSH Construction Certificate (Essential)
- Ability to travel regularly to Derbyshire
