Health & Safety Manager

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance and assurance with relevant UK HSE legislation, focusing on CDM Regulations 2015
• Ensure Control of Contractor requirements and standards are fulfilled
• Carry out site audits and inspections of construction related activities
• Capture relevant LFE and ensure investigations are closed out
• Provide expert guidance and support to project teams on safe working practices
• Develop robust HSE management systems tailored to major construction projects
• Monitor the HSE performance of contractor activities in line with CDM 2015
• Champion a proactive, safety-first culture across all levels of the site team

Requirements

• Proven experience in HSE roles in fissile environments, construction, utilities, or major infrastructure
• In-depth knowledge of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015
• In-depth knowledge of the Nuclear Licence Condition Handbook
• Track record of conducting audits and producing reports
• NEBOSH General Certificate or NEBOSH Construction Certificate (Essential)
• Ability to travel regularly to Derbyshire
