Health Safety & Environmental Lead

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage HSE policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulations.
• Lead internal and external audits and respond to identified non-conformances.
• Conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and root cause analysis for incident investigations.
• Coordinate and deliver HSE training for employees and contractors to foster a proactive safety culture.
• Track, analyze, and report monthly on safety and sustainability metrics.
• Lead Emergency Response planning, drills, and maintenance of emergency equipment.
• Manage environmental aspects, including waste handling, storage, and disposal compliance.
• Act as the key contact for insurance companies and employees regarding Workers Compensation cases.
• Support both Oetiker NY locations (Lancaster & Batavia) through onsite presence and travel.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science or relevant HSE Certifications.
• 5-7 years of experience in health, safety, and environmental management.
• Proven experience with management systems such as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Demonstrated experience leading HSE programs or teams.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
