Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of health, safety, environmental, and compliance programs across manufacturing and field operations.
  • Establish company-wide safety standards, training expectations, inspection routines, and reporting practices.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on OSHA, Cal/OSHA, EPA, and hazardous materials management.
  • Oversee safety for manufacturing operations including machine safety, lockout/tagout, and ergonomics.
  • Lead safety oversight for field construction activities, including fall protection and subcontractor safety.
  • Conduct regular plant inspections, field site walks, and job hazard analyses.
  • Lead investigations for injuries, near misses, and environmental events using root cause analysis.
  • Develop and deliver safety training for employees, supervisors, and contractors.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive HSE or compliance experience in manufacturing or construction environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and EPA regulations.
  • Experience leading safety audits, risk assessments, and root cause investigations.
  • OSHA 30 certification required.
  • CPR, First Aid, and AED certification required (or ability to obtain shortly after hire).
  • Ability to navigate manufacturing floors and active construction sites, including climbing ladders and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Safety, or Industrial Engineering.
  • CHST, CSP, ASP, or equivalent safety certification.
  • Experience in modular construction or industrial operations.
