Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Advisor

Responsibilities

• Provide HS&E leadership, guidance, and support to assigned workplaces in Calgary and Southern Alberta
• Assist in the development and implementation of corporate policies and procedures
• Conduct inspections of job sites, facilities, and equipment for safety compliance
• Lead and support incident investigations and mentor field leadership on reporting
• Audit subcontractor safety management systems and loss control programs
• Support the implementation of the Certificate of Recognition (COR) Program for the Alberta Region
• Ensure emergency response plans are aligned with regulatory and corporate requirements
• Conduct and support the annual Safety Management System Audit

Requirements

• Active NCSO or equivalent certification
• Certified COR Auditor (required)
• Minimum 5 years of HSE work experience within the construction industry
• Working knowledge of provincial and local safety and environmental regulations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with report writing proficiency
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Clean driver’s abstract

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, diploma, or certification in Occupational Health & Safety and Environment
• Certified Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP)
• Certified Health and Safety Consultant (CHSC)
• Experience as a COR Auditor
