Health & Safety Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support the HSE manager in driving continuous improvement in occupational health, safety, and environmental matters at the Qingdao plant
• Plan and implement HSE management plans to optimize risk management at the operation site
• Coordinate and implement Global HSE processes and develop location-specific procedures, standards, and guidelines
• Drive HSE compliance and provide technical support to maintain necessary permits and approvals
• Coordinate and participate in the maintenance of ISO14001 and ISO45001, including internal audits
• Perform regular environmental impact assessments and risk identification for plant operations
• Investigate HSE accidents and near misses, ensuring corrective actions are taken and followed up
• Report relevant HSE data and indicators, including accident information and environmental metrics

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Project Management, or an equivalent major
• Minimum 5 years of full-time HSE experience
• Extensive knowledge and experience in risk control and mitigation techniques
• Fluent verbal English communication skills
• Strong organizational, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification such as Certified Safety Professional, Certified Environmental Engineer, or Certified Fire Safety Engineer
