Health & Safety Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Support operational teams in implementing and maintaining Qube’s Safety, Health & Sustainability System
• Coordinate and monitor hazard identification, risk assessments, and incident investigations
• Maintain oversight of the incident database (INX), ensuring timely and accurate reporting
• Assist with audits and compliance requirements
• Produce and distribute safety communications such as bulletins and updates
• Monitor worksite safety practices across operational sites
• Liaise with internal teams, union representatives, customers, and government agencies
• Provide backup support to the NZ Health & Safety Manager and General Manager Health & Safety

Requirements

• Diploma or National Certificate in Health & Safety (or equivalent experience)
• Strong communication, planning, and analytical skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and incident management systems
• Ability to work across different shifts and sites, including irregular hours
• Eligibility to work in New Zealand and ability to pass pre-employment medical, drug, ACC, and MOJ checks
