About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct and develop Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work (SSOW)
- Complete specialist risk assessments such as COSHH
- Manage contractor activity and permit-to-work systems
- Review and approve RAMS for third-party contractors
- Support accident and incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Lead internal audits and manage non-conformances
- Maintain H&S databases, software systems, and controlled documentation
- Ensure completion of equipment checks and site inspections
- Support Fire Marshal training and emergency response readiness
- Promote a positive safety culture through coaching and engagement
- Assist in delivering the site H&S strategic plan
Requirements
- IOSH/NEBOSH qualified or working towards it
- Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation (Health & Safety at Work Act 1974)
- Working knowledge of Warehouse and Logistics operations
- Experience creating Safe Systems of Work and Risk Assessments
- Strong IT skills with Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and time management skills
