Health, Safety and Environment Specialist

Responsibilities

• Review and approve RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements)
• Implement and maintain HSE management systems and project safety programs
• Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory environmental, health, and safety standards
• Lead and support incident investigations and root cause analysis
• Conduct regular safety meetings, training sessions, and Toolbox Talks
• Monitor and analyze HSE performance metrics (KPIs)
• Perform audits and risk-based inspections to ensure compliance
• Review critical documentation such as safety plans, permits to work, and lifting plans
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders regarding lessons learned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in construction safety or HSE roles
• Experience with Integrated Management Systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
• Certified ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor qualification
• Competency in Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis
• Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST)
• NEBOSH Certificate or Diploma
• Certified First Aid qualification
