Health Promotion Specialist

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive health promotion programs and interventions to support student wellbeing.
• Plan and deliver educational content, trainings, and presentations regarding mental, physical, and emotional health.
• Lead campus-wide initiatives, events, and committees to advance health and wellness efforts.
• Build and maintain collaborative partnerships with campus and community stakeholders.
• Create and disseminate educational materials, digital content, and marketing strategies to increase engagement.
• Collect, track, and analyze data to assess program effectiveness and inform continuous improvement.
• Support specific focus areas such as behavioral health (substance prevention) or violence prevention (sexual violence, stalking, and hazing).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 3 years of related experience in health promotion or a similar field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience applying motivational interviewing techniques.
• Experience utilizing trauma-informed practices.
• Strong presentation skills, preferably on health and wellness topics.
• Proficiency with tools such as Smartsheet and Qualtrics.
• Experience in event planning and coordination.
• Experience developing outreach campaigns to increase program visibility.
