Health Law Counsel

Responsibilities

• Advise healthcare providers on regulatory compliance including Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and False Claims Act
• Structure and negotiate physician employment agreements, professional services agreements, and joint venture arrangements
• Counsel clients on Medicare reimbursement rules, billing compliance, and payor contracting
• Advise on HIPAA compliance, healthcare privacy, data security, and breach response protocols
• Represent healthcare providers in professional discipline matters before state licensing boards
• Conduct due diligence and regulatory analysis for healthcare acquisitions and practice formations
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted advisor

Requirements

• Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school
• Minimum of 6 years of health law experience in a law firm setting
• Substantial exposure to provider-side regulatory and transactional matters
• Demonstrated knowledge of Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and HIPAA
• Working knowledge of Medicare rules and reimbursement regulations
• Active Nebraska bar membership or eligibility for admission

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with state medical licensing frameworks outside of Nebraska
• Proven ability to mentor junior attorneys
