About the role

Responsibilities

  • Execute injury management, workers compensation, medical surveillance, and fitness for work processes
  • Manage onsite health services and ensure compliance with contractor management requirements
  • Lead and facilitate investigations regarding health matters
  • Develop, update, and monitor health-related SHMS documents
  • Oversee site health and wellbeing initiatives and workforce engagement plans
  • Recommend and coordinate continuous improvement projects for health and hygiene
  • Support the implementation of Group Standards and Specifications

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Health Sciences (e.g., Occupational Therapy, Nursing, or Physiotherapy)
  • Demonstrable experience in occupational health within heavy industry (mining or construction)
  • Experience developing and implementing health standards and procedures
  • Experience leading injury management and Workers’ Compensation processes
  • Knowledge of health risk management principles

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current Certificate of Registration with AHPRA
  • Qualifications relating to management systems accreditation and risk management
