About the role
Responsibilities
- Execute injury management, workers compensation, medical surveillance, and fitness for work processes
- Manage onsite health services and ensure compliance with contractor management requirements
- Lead and facilitate investigations regarding health matters
- Develop, update, and monitor health-related SHMS documents
- Oversee site health and wellbeing initiatives and workforce engagement plans
- Recommend and coordinate continuous improvement projects for health and hygiene
- Support the implementation of Group Standards and Specifications
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Health Sciences (e.g., Occupational Therapy, Nursing, or Physiotherapy)
- Demonstrable experience in occupational health within heavy industry (mining or construction)
- Experience developing and implementing health standards and procedures
- Experience leading injury management and Workers’ Compensation processes
- Knowledge of health risk management principles
Preferred Qualifications
- Current Certificate of Registration with AHPRA
- Qualifications relating to management systems accreditation and risk management
