Health Economist

Responsibilities

• Develop economic models to inform decisions on the efficient allocation of healthcare resources
• Communicate insights to various healthcare industry stakeholders
• Research and critically appraise medical and economic literature
• Liaise with external medical professionals
• Build high-quality, technically robust, and clinically valid models in Microsoft Excel or other software
• Interpret and analyze model results and produce technically accurate written reports

Requirements

• Degree level or higher in mathematics, economics, physics, or computer science (minimum GPA 3.3)
• High school mathematics (minimum B grade or equivalent)
• Advanced skills in Excel and knowledge of VBA
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within project teams
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong organizational and planning skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Postgraduate training in statistics or modelling
• Familiarity with R, C++, or STATA
• Experience applying economic and mathematical modelling in an industry setting
